Dear ViuHealth Community,
When Mel and I started DrugViu, our goal was straightforward: enable individuals battling autoimmune conditions to lead healthier lives. Our platform initially centered on providing patients with a comprehensive view of their medications while connecting them to clinical trials, hence the name “DrugViu”. This deeply personal and intricate process became invaluable in shaping our approach.
In our pursuit to support patients and enhance their treatment options, we discovered a pressing need beyond clinical trials: the necessity for continuous support in leading healthier lifestyles between doctor visits. Simultaneously, we recognized the strain on healthcare providers striving to deliver comprehensive care amid their demanding schedules.
Our realization was profound—autoimmune care transcends treating conditions; it's about addressing the holistic well-being of individuals beyond their time in a doctor's office. It's crucial to recognize that an individual's well-being is multifaceted and extends far beyond the symptoms or manifestations of their condition.
Autoimmune disorders often entail complex challenges that influence not only the body but also mental health, emotional stability, social interactions, lifestyle choices, and overall quality of life.
Patients need access and support through all of this, especially on the days patients aren’t seeing their doctor.
This prompted a pivotal shift in our offering.
Over the past year, our dedicated team has relentlessly worked to place patient care at the forefront of our efforts. We meticulously crafted a comprehensive care program that champions day-to-day well-being—an achievement we are thrilled to introduce in collaboration with healthcare providers (more updates coming soon!).
With ViuHealth, patients now get remote access to their virtual care team to support patients with personalized health coaching to better manage their health in between doctor visits.
To be clear, this is in addition to our impactful clinical trial matching offered to patients.
To signify this monumental shift in our vision, we rebranded from DrugViu to ViuHealth. However, our commitment to easing the challenges faced by those navigating autoimmune conditions remains intact.
Reflecting on our journey from the inception of DrugViu to the transformative evolution into ViuHealth, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride. Our mission to improve the lives of those facing autoimmune diseases remains the cornerstone of everything we do. As we step into a new year, I wanted to share our story, our growth, and more importantly, the boundaries we will push to help improve outcomes.
I am profoundly proud of our team—comprising passionate individuals spanning marketing, technology, operations, and our compassionate care team—for bringing ViuHealth to fruition. While our journey continues, our commitment to supporting individuals in this journey remains unwavering.
To everyone who has supported us on this incredible voyage, thank you. This is just the beginning.
